Grand River Environmental Action Team

GREAT's next paddle is at the Winnewana Impoundment in the Waterloo Recreation Area in Northeast Jackson County on Saturday, August 14, 2021.  A Michigan Recreation Passport is required and a rustic toilet facility is on site.  This 500 acre impoundment has many natural features. Founded in 1990, the Grand River Environmental Action Team is a Local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of and restoration of the Upper River Watershed in the Jackson County of south central Michigan.

GREAT organizes clean-up activities & monthly public paddling outings to create environmental awareness
