Grand River Environmental Action Team

Do to the lack of spring rains and very low water levels in Jackson County the Mystery Paddle has been cancelled for this year. The next paddle will be on Kalamazoo River with the put in at Rieger Park in Albion on June 12, 2021.  Please call the GREAT phone at 517-416-4234 to reserve a canoe or kayak or if you have any questions. Please arrive at the park no later than 9:30 a.m. for the shuttle. We will be meeting along the park drive between the small pond and the Kalamazoo River.  The following link is a map for Rieger Park.   RIEGER PARK MAP.pdf

Founded in 1990, the Grand River Environmental Action Team is a Local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of and restoration of the Upper River Watershed in the Jackson County of south central Michigan.

GREAT organizes clean-up activities & monthly public paddling outings to create environmental awareness
